We are calling on autistic and neurodivergent young adults (18 - 26) from Australian Eastern States
(QLD, NSW, VIC, ACT, SA)
Join the Living Lab 2024: Empowering Young Neurodiverse Entrepreneurs
We'll be posing the question: How can we make self-employment more accessible to you?
Recognising the creativity and ambition inherent in young neurodivergent adults, we acknowledge the challenges you face within traditional workplace recruitment mechanisms and cultures. We know many neurodivergent individuals are seeking the opportunity to work for themselves or build their own business, but getting set-up and being self-employed can present a lot of barriers to young neurodivergent entrepreneurs.
We want to remove the barriers to self-employment and make running your own business more accessible to young neurodivergent individuals. Exciting news: Specialisterne has recently secured a small grant fund thanks to the Telstra Foundation to bring a groundbreaking idea to life, and we want your insights to shape its trajectory.
Enter Living Lab 2024: Empowering Neurodiverse Entrepreneurs. We're starting with the idea: a website dedicated to empowering entrepreneurial neurodivergent individuals to establish and grow their businesses. Picture this: a space where you can showcase your skills, connect your services or goods with potential customers, manage invoicing, and what else? That's where you come in. Your input and insights will be instrumental in creating a tool and environment that not only fosters innovation but also helps turn your unique ideas into thriving ventures, whether in web design, copywriting, lawn mowing, or any other pursuit.
If this resonates with you and you have a few hours to spare in January 2024, we invite you to register your details. We're planning two interactive online workshops, where we'll openly discuss thoughts, ideas, and, most importantly, what matters to you. Each session will accommodate a maximum of 20 participants. You are welcome to bring your parent or carer along with you.
Here are the rules:
-
The grant application specifies that we seek input from young neurodivergent adults aged 18 to 26 years old based on the east coast of Australia. We can't wait to hear your thoughts. If you have questions, please submit them here, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible. Please note that any inquiries received during the Christmas period will be addressed in the new year.
Your input is invaluable, and together, let's build a platform that reflects your needs and aspirations.
Thank you,
Specialisterne Australia Team
