ABOUT THE ROLE
Within your role as the Assistant Design Coordinator for the Projects, Engineering and Design Branch, you will undertake research, develop project briefs and provide guidance to designers for the Sydney Airport Project.
In this role you will:
live the NSW Public Sector and organisational values to achieve outstanding outcomes for the organisation and customers
work in conjunction with the team to ensure the design for the project complies with planning approvals, statutory requirements and relevant standards and is fit for purpose
assist in developing proposals, reports and other written documents, and ensuring designs is compliant with safety, legislative and other requirements
work in conjunction with the team to review commissioning of projects
provide input into project schedules, milestones and key deliverables with Project Managers and other key stakeholders to support project management activities.
TALENT SOUGHT
The talent we are seeking for this role is someone who:
attains an Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical etc.) qualification, or is currently working towards one
has sound written and verbal communication skills
can work collaboratively within team environments
acts with integrity, is professional, and can uphold the values of the organisation
can plan, prioritise, and execute their work within desired timeframes
is results oriented and is comfortable undertaking work with a structural and methodical work environment
is competent utilising a diverse range of technology and systems (Microsoft Suite).
Program management experience is desirable but not essential. If you have one or more of the required skills and an Engineering degree, we highly recommend you apply here.
REQUIREMENTS
Please note that for this role you must:
have an Engineer qualification (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical etc.)
be 18 years of age or older
have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder, Asperger’s Syndrome, Autistic Disorder or PDD-NOS
have unrestricted working rights within Australia
have the ability to gain security clearance through relevant checks (this will be conducted through the employer)
