About the team - Digital Medicare Enrolments project
The Digital Medicare Enrolment (DME) project is part of the Customer Transformation Branch responsible for the delivery of a range of projects to provide services that are simple and helpful so that people can get on with their lives.
The Health Delivery Modernisation – Digital Medicare Enrolments Project is a Health Delivery Modernisation programme Phase 3 deliverable with a focus on:
Building digital services and/or services based on automated data exchange with Department of Home Affairs, to allow customers to:
establish their identity with Medicare
enrol and re-enrol in Medicare
Build a streamlined enrolment processing tool for staff to process enrolment applications, using automation wherever possible
Ensuring all appropriate support services are in place to deliver a seamless digital experience, such as:
digital communication channels
enrolment application status tracker
Customers will be able to enrol, re-enrol, update their eligibility and personal enrolment details, request a Lifetime Health Cover letter, track the status of their enrolment applications and manage their Medicare eligibility related communications without the need to visit a service centre, email or post a paper form.
An increase in positive customer and staff experience, processing automation, and the overall quality and integrity of the Medicare program will all be improved.
The roles are full-time, non-ongoing/ongoing, non-ongoing contracts for up to 18 months.

What you will do
Data Analyst professionals analyse datasets with a variety of tools to research and solve organisational issues and identify trends and insights to support organisational outcomes.

Analyst Support Officers provide assistance to identify and achieve efficiencies, and provide problem solutions through analysis of information and data.
They are responsible for assisting in the collection and examination of information and data, and contributing to the work area’s reports, findings, decision making or recommendations using an evidence-based approach.
Working under the support and general direction of senior staff, they make decisions within defined parameters relating to their area of responsibility.
As an Analyst Officer you will work as part of a multi-skilled team to:
Duties may include some or all of the following:
Gather, examine and evaluate both qualitative and quantitative data and information
Contribute towards operational objectives by assisting in analysing business processes, gathering information and preparing output requirements for review by senior staff
Coordinate and monitor correspondence flow of work area
Perform basic research and analysis to assist in the preparation of documentation, such as reports or briefs, for review by senior staff
Assist with detailed requirement documentation
Provide assistance with technical specifications
Use information databases and analytical tools to perform data extraction and retrieval for reporting tasks to support team’s objectives
Assist with quality assurance and data validation
Build rapport with stakeholders to support team’s priorities and goals
Understand and provide advice to stakeholder on routine enquiries
Assist in identifying problems, offering solutions and escalating issues to senior staff
Contribute to team improvement initiatives and projects, including team plans, tools, procedures and/or business process changes
Exercise appropriate delegations in accordance with legislation and guidelines.

Must be 18 years of age or over
Must have a diagnosis of autism (including Autism spectrum disorder, Asperger's disorder, Autistic disorder, or PDD-NOS). ‘Specialisterne may be required to provide evidence of your diagnosis to Services Australia to confirm your eligibility for the program.’
Must have proof of Australian Citizenship and agree to background checks
Must be able to obtain a Baseline security clearance
Must live (or be willing to relocate to) a daily commutable distance to Melbourne CBD.
